The Party in the Garden is one of the most talked-about annual events in New York City. Previously Co-Chaired by Marie-Josée Kravis and Jerry Speyer, this event celebrates remarkable individuals each year. Past honorees include Martin Scorcese, Mike Nichols, Joan Tisch, Sarah Jessica Parker, David Rockefeller, Jo Carole and Ronald Lauder, and most recently Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, Mimi Haas, Jill Kraus, and Sharon Percy Rockefeller.
The evening begins with cocktails, followed by a sit-down dinner, and concludes with a lively after-party for over 1,200 guests in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. Last year saw performances by Kanye West with special guest Jay-Z and music by DJ Ruckus. Previous performers include Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Estelle, M.I.A, and John Legend. Attendees include museum trustees, and other VIPs from the worlds of art, fashion, film, and finance.
