Casey and I finally committed to experiencing FoHi's first gay club - Pride Lounge NYC (Lord have mercy). It's a Thursday night with an empty bar and 90's house is blaring absurdly. Also, a ridiculous gogo boy shaking his goodies for a lackluster audience (Why do bars still feel the need to have gogo boys!? Make the madness stop!).

Clearly, we were not prepared - except for bringing tonight's #bowtie of rainbow candy canes (thanks Sweet Tarts). Hopefully this place cools down a bit in the coming weeks....

Doing my first (of many) product shoots for the 1stdibs RL site at our warehouse in LIC. Grabbed lunch nearby and ate one of the messiest burgers (portobello - only veg burger option) of my life at WilliamsBurger in Sunnyside, Queens. Other than that (& the weird chalk smell inside) it was great!

My boring navy Target piggy bank contracted swine flu and died this evening. Prior to his death, he asked the gods above to resurrect him as an ultra bright & glossy candy apple red pig of the future.

Back in NYC / the 11375! Didn't go grocery shopping but we were able to nosh on leftovers from our Sound of Music Live shin dig.

Edible #bowtie on a cracker from two squares of Trader Joes Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Syrah (delicious) and a small dollop of fig butter (also Trader Joes, also crazy delicious).

Last night in Tampa. Showed Casey the Apollo Beach manatee viewing center (with no manatees as it's unreasonably hot out) and toured around Brandon. Then, spent the night catching up with the parents and relaxing before our flight tomorrow.

Holiday #bowtie stacked out of clear solo cups inside red and green ones (which are in the shape of a 5-foot #Christmas tree) with my parent's #artificial X-mas tree in the background.

Tonight was the annual Ruiz Family Christmas Party / Boat Parade! I've been missing this party for 3 years (it went on hiatus while our family house was being rented) and so happy it's finally a reoccurring shindig.

At home visiting the family in Tampa after a missed flight and general MTA craziness. Already hit up Publix (where shopping is a pleasure), Toys R Us (my nieces and nephew are gonna freak!), and Brandon Mall (yikes).

After months of planning, we were finally able to have our Sound of Music LIVE viewing party (Go Carrie!).

Came home with an urgent need for hot cocoa with whipped cream. Unfortunately, my mug was too small to produce a decent-looking bow tie before the heat made the cream all floppy and runny.
